K-WOOD

Korean wood,
from our workshop in Korea.

Woodway prepares Korean hardwoods at our workshop in Gonjiam, Gyeonggi-do. We are starting with two native woods, offered as individual pieces for makers around the world.

THE WOODS

Two woods to start with

Korean Zelkova wood

Korean Zelkova

Zelkova serrata

Familiar in Korea as the large shade tree at village entrances, zelkova has bold growth-ring patterns on a golden-brown ground. Its grain and hardness made it a traditional choice for chests and grain bins.

Korean Toona

Toona sinensis
